His name is Arkie.  
He's energetic, playful, affectionate, and naive.  He gets very upset and anxious if he thinks that someone is upset with him.  

He has never lost his enthusiasm for finding ancient buried artifacts.  And he and his human friend love going to the new park and play-digging in the fancy new sandbox.  As practice for future professional digs, of course.  
In this picture, he's charging across the sand in search of a good place to dig (AKA roll around in the sand and dig himself a little hollow place to curl up in).

Djinn Dragons: Dig Site StoryIf you were a kid that lived on Oakley st, you knew that even though the swingset was busted, your street had the best sandbox of all the local playgrounds around. But ever since one of the children lost their favorite dinosaur toy in it, strange things began to happen to the park. Often, mysterious holes would appear in the ground, the sand was almost never inside the sandbox, and more dinosaur toys were going missing than anyone could keep track of. Who was doing this? A little fed up at not being able to play pretend-archeologist in the sandbox any more, one of the local children took it upon themselves to investigate. They stayed up late and, with a pair of dad’s binoculars, kept watch over the playground. It was three in the morning and they were just about to fall asleep when they finally saw something- a large hole….appearing to dig itself?! This called for a closer look.
